I am leaving for a cruise to Mexico early tomorrow morning and my last pair of contact lens have a slight tear. I thought I had an extra set but I cannot find them anywhere. I've read that you do not need a prescription to purchase contact lens in Mexico. Has anyone every purchased contact lens from Mexico before? How easy was it? Do you just go into an Optical store and buy them over the counter? I am stopping in Cabo so if you know a specif place I can go that'd be great. I just need one pair to last me the trip, then I will get an eye exam when I get back. Thanks in advance!

Devlyn is the most trusted optical store, and there are two branches, here is the info. I wear glasses and yes you just need to go and ask for them, pay and leave lol, or have a free eye exam with them. Though I don't know how fast they could deliver for you. You can ask by email. Best of lucks!

Hola. I can't imagine buying contact lens without a prescription but what ever floats your boat. We have many optical stores here in Cabo. You have several choices. You can go to the Paradiso mall right near the marina where your cruise ship comes in, or you can go right into town to several stores on the main streets. Also, Costco has an optical counter and Walmart. They are farther out, so you would need a taxi. Ask your concierge on the cruise ship to give you directions to the paradiso mall. There is a kiosk inside.

I don't wear them so I'm not really looking for them but I've seen Acuvue lenses for sale at the Costco in Merida so I would suspect that if you could find a Costco where you are you would find them there as well. If your prescription is fairly common though I would also expect that almost any optical place would do.

If there is a Costco you will likely find an optometrist on staff. Here in Merida you can usually get a walk in appointment. The exam was free for my wife when she purchased sunglasses. I would think that most Costco's in Mexico would be the same.

There is no such place as "Cabo Mexico" You are going to Cabo san Lucas or San Jose del Cabo and there are plenty of optical places. The hard part will be finding one if you dont speak Spanish. I have seen lots of clinics in my travels but cant recall the names but there are ,as I say plenty in both cities

Good luck
