Could anybody point me to some good websites where I can find reasonable airfare to mexico and interesting tour sites that won't cost me an arm and a leg? I am looking to go to the yucatan this spring... help!

You can search by Hotel or Vacation(vacation includes hotel and airfare)

I just came back from backpacking in the yucatan peninsula...we mainly stayed in the east coast( playa del carmen, Cozumnel, Tulum, Chitchen Itza, Isla mujeres). I got my tickets online from expedia.ca (it is usually the most expensive site but I was lucky). As for the logding goes, we did not make any hotel reservations whatsoever...we were able to find adequate lodging for about 15$ US a night during high season!!! I think that if you use a goog guide book you should be fine. Transportation between cities is also very cheap and safe.

i use cheaptickets.com ... it's , well, cheap ! don't know much about the tour thing though, sorry. But definitely do your research. Mexico can be a very dangerous place for visitors, especially females. Talk to everyone you can find who's been there, and research, research, research. It's a beautiful place too, so have fun!
