I was just in Cancun in Feb. No converter was necessary.

You only need to know that outlet or plug is pronounce "el pluggo" in Mexico.Have a good trip!

You may run into many 2 prong outlets. That's the only real difference. A voltage regulator or UPS would be nice as the voltage level fluctuates but probably OK without

You won't need anything. All the electrical appliances that you use in the States can easily be used here. In the US we typically use 110 volts. In Mexico it is 127 volts. This is not enough to affect even some of the best equipment.
The same polarized plug (two prongs) that you use in the US is used in Mexico. Most developed areas also have the third ground plug available as well.
Sometimes clocks will run a little faster on this power due to the energy cycles - but it will not make a significant difference on a day to day basis.
As another answered said here, if you have sensitive equipment, a power filter may be something you want to consider. The lines in Mexico are not filtered as well as in the states and you may have spikes in the power - but those are usually most common in severe weather.
In short - you don't need anything - especially if you are using a hair dryer or something like that.
